Mostly, I have been in Columbus
- after a few floundering years in Boston in the late 60's early
70's, some of which was with Martha Bacon (Brogan), and a few other
cities with my children's father. I went to graduate school for
an MSW when my children were 1 & 3, then practiced for 20 years.
During that time I married the love of my life (35 years now)
and we live happily ever after. I have a son, with 2 daughters,
who is a dentist and a daughter -with 2 sons, who is in marketing.
Lucky me having 4 grandchildren 8-18, all of whom are here in
Bexley. They are amazing individuals who bring me much joy.
Always restless, I left my profession and opened a boutique in
Bexley that was really a fun endeavor (till it wasn't). I
closed the store in late Dec. 2016 after 17 years, and retired - but
have since worked part time at LLBEAN, CMA, and Garth's auction
house. I have lived in Bexley since 1977, and in my
current home for 34 years.

favorite high school memory
|
There are many... but when I
first got my license, I was in a bad car accident and my grandfather
came to town to help me with Geometry. I missed 7 of the last 9
weeks of school and I was doing miserably with this course. He
outline the entire math book in postulates and theorems that he put
in an easier language for me to learn and I did great on the final
and the teacher let me slide the last report period because of this.
I wish I had thought to keep his work - on a yellow legal pad,
that he always used.

unforgettable trip

My favorite place to go is
Sedona, Arizona. I love the high desert, red rock mountains,
and the calmness I feel when there. Hiking is a love, but it is
getting more difficult to perform. Give me mountains and
climbing anytime. I have been to Sedona over a dozen times!

little-known fact
|
I have always been a wannabe
artist, but had to settle for doing pottery, macrame, and
silver-smithing (all of which I did for many years never quite
attaining solid mediocrity). So, I am a passionate consumer of
the arts as a life time passion.
